TEACHING EXPERIENCE                                                                            

Spotlighters Theatre                                                        September 2015-present

Baltimore, MD

Teacher of Actor’s Toolbox afterschool program for children in grades K-3.  Children learn dramatic skills and vocabulary, leading to an original production.

Creative Kids                                                                         October 2014-June 2015

Silver Spring, MD

Teach drama to students ages 3-5 in Head Start and Preschool at Liberty Elementary School in Baltimore, MD.  Children learn both literary skills (comprehension, creating dialogue, etc.), and acting skills (basic vocabulary, characterization, etc.).

Playmaking For Girls Program, Synchronicity Theatre                       January 2003-2012

Atlanta, GA

Lead teacher in after school program with girls aged 9-14.  Help develop curriculum for Imagination Workshop and Playmaking Workshop and supervised other teachers in its implementation. Teach theatrical skills to girls ages 12-17 in Regional Youth Detention Centers.  Help them write and perform plays within two-day workshops.  Creator of Vocal Warm-Up for manual and Musical Director/Choreographer for Summer PFG Workshop for paroled girls.

Drama teacher for the Latin American Association after-school program for English as a Second Language students.  Taught fourth graders drama basics with a focus on acting basics, imagination, and language skills, and confidence.
